NEW DEMO REEL, CHANNEL TRAILER, + EXCLUSIVE ALBUM REACTION VID 🎵🔥
Hi, I didn’t actually intend to be making this blog post but it’s probably a good time for one anyway! Read on to see what I mean.
After wrapping on Masters of the Air, I’ve been taking time off to focus on my personal creative brands like WLDWLF and The Midnight Rangoon! Animation production on HOWIE! #5 is well underway, but here are some smaller updates I’ve accomplished that you can view RIGHT NOW!
NEW WLDWLF DEMO REEL
On my 24th birthday I did a surprise drop of the latest compilation of WLDWLF projects to date. At least 10 times, I re-edited this video with completely different vibes, until finally I was inspired to do the opposite of what I usually do.
Instead of something upbeat and flashy, I wanted to create something very relaxing, with a fluid and casual momentum to it. It’s also the first demo reel that I’ve fully sound-designed, which hopefully adds another satisfying element to the experience!
NEW MIDNIGHT RANGOON CHANNEL TRAILER
Are my vague descriptions of my “variety livestream” too confusing? Do you want to know what I do as “The Midnight Rangoon” but are too afraid to ask?
Fear not, because I took the time to throw together a brand new “channel trailer” for people just like you. It was extremely hard to find specific moments and clips from the thousands of hours of content I’ve created, so this is the best I could do from what I was able to dig up. In my opinion, it doesn’t even scratch the surface of everything I’ve gotten up to over there, but lucky for you all the old streams are still up to watch, as well as four new ones every week!
This trailer was made as part of my initiative to really level up and grow this channel leading up to my 200th stream! I want as many possible participants to come hang out as I will be keeping the stream live for a full 24 hours, and have many fun segments planned. I even re-branded all of the existing visual assets, from the profile picture to the border around my webcam. This is the year the Midnight Rangoon blows up.
TWENTY ONE PILOTS - “CLANCY” FULL ALBUM REACTION
If we’re being technical, I suppose you could consider what I’m about to share to be “illegal”… at least YouTube seems to think so.
As a massive fan of the band “twenty one pilots”, I attempted to record my full reaction to their latest LP, “Clancy”, and share it with tons of other people online who would totally enjoy it. I chose to include most of the album un-edited because it was the rawest / most authentic way to present my experience and reaction. I hoped I was protected by section 107 of the Copyright Act of 1976, which explains that copyright allowance is made for “fair use” purposes such as criticism and commentary, but the YouTube algorithm and Warner Music Group didn’t see it that way.
After 13 manually rejected copyright disputes, I had no other choice but to preserve the video by uploading it here, exclusively. That is why this blog post exists. It’s definitely a shame, because this video was performing very well on its first day and helping to expand my channel to new audiences… However, now I can use it to market this website, which- in a way, is even better.
There's so many details and layers to this album that I wish I commented on more- especially the lyricism- but this is mostly the unfiltered thoughts I was having hearing each song for the first time. The rating and timestamps below come from the now-banned original YouTube description, but they should still apply.
